Oh Simone… super chantreuse Simone Perrin has recorded her first full length CD with tons of her own compositions. The way I understand it, MPR decided she had been tromping around too long without the goods so they told her to get it done! We had a blast recording it with a live audience at the UBS Forum. She has assembled a great cast and I’ll post links when the pressing is completed.The Southside Aces had the great honor of being invited to perform at The Fitzgerald Theater for a celebration of the life of Bill Holm, visit his site to learn more about this man. The Twin Cities Hot Club will perform at the Brink Lounge on Thursday April 16, we’ll move our way south and perform at the Hawkeye Swing Festival on Friday April 17. The Hot Swing Combowill produce the heat for the festival on Saturday the 18th and I’ll cap the night with Patty and the Buttons down there in ol’ Iowa City. Speaking of capping, Andrea Sander Connett and I will be at Kafe 421 in Dinkytown, see you there.
