April is proving to be a really exciting month. The Southside Aces went to Omaha NE and performed for the Midwest Balboa Festival MWBF now that was an amazing show! Batak, my new latin-african jazz group had a a great debut performance, hot music.The Robert Bell Erin Schwab Hot Swing Combo, or in this case Twin Cities Hot Club and Erin Schwab are performing in Washington D.C. at DCLX should be a blast. Finally, from trad jazz to latin-african, pop music with Karen Paurus and gypsy jazz in D.C. I am off to perform in ‘A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline’ in MA. This is a really wonderful show and was my first professional ‘gig’ almost exactly 9 years ago. I learned so much from that experience and look forward to performing with some old friends again. What a great opportunity to keep the wonderful music and story of one Patsy Cline alive. I might just might, sneak a Django lick in over a Grady Martin run.
