March was a really busy, fun and challenging month. March began with the Robert Bell Hot Swing Combo providing music at the always amazing Heartland Swing Festival in Des Moines, IA. My uber talented friend Monica Heuser invitied me to perform in her self-produced show at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. I had a great time with my new to me Telecaster playing some new to me country music, with a great band and Monica, who brought the house down with her performance. Next, was a great performance experience as guest soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony as part of counductor Sarah Hicks Springtime In Paris. Great musicians, fun travel and always an honor to perform the music of Django Reinhardt with a Symphony. The Twin Cities Hot Club finished the month out with a performance at the Dakota on Easter. My favorite part was seeing a nun enjoy her brunch as we provided the jazz. Lots of other local shows made for a busy and exciting March.
